Lou’s on First IPA

A big, bold flavored double IPA using the 2018 Ales for ALS hop blend.  Ales for ALS is a charitable concept where the ALS Therapy Development Institute teams up with major US hop grower, Loftus Hop Farms.  Every year, an experimental blend of hops is sent to breweries free of charge.  In exchange, the breweries brew a special beer using these hops, and then donate at least $1 of every pint sold back to the ALS Therapy Development Institute.  Started in 2013, this charity has now raise over $1,750,000 as of end of last year!

This year’s blend throws resinous notes of pineapple and citrus, with a crisp, bitter finish.
