Simple Belgian

Our Simple Belgian is essentially a cross between a Belgian Pale Ale and a Grisette (old Belgian-style table beer meant to be similar to a Saison but lower in ABV). The big tropical fruit aromas give way to a wonderfully refreshing, slightly sweet, light-bodied ale that finishes crisp and clean. The Simple Belgian pours a beautiful golden color with a tight white head that dissipates quickly. 4.9%

Notes:

The nose is slightly fruity with hints of banana and tropical fruit.

The beer pours a lightly toasted gold with a tight white head which dissipates quickly

A very light-bodied, effervescent brew is quite lively on the tongue and has slightly more carbonation that a typical brew.

In spite of the big fruity nose the flavors are decidedly subdued. The fruity esters still dominate with nice subtle malt sweetness in support. The additions of hops throughout the brew are just enough to balance the beer but without any substantial bitterness. Clean finish.
