Our Executive Chef: Gerard Fleck
THE MAN BEHIND THE PUMP STATION’S KITCHENS
Gerry’s love of cooking began at a young age. As a member of a large family, Gerry enjoyed cooking Sunday breakfasts and helping to prepare holiday feasts. His passion for culinary arts grew to such proportions that he decided to formalize his training, studying restaurant and hotel management at Oregon State University and earning a degree from the renowned Culinary Institute of America.
Eating Local
LOCOVORES, REST YOUR CONSCIENCE: WE EAT, BUY, AND SHIP LOCAL SURPRISINGLY OFTEN.
Eating locally grown and produced foods is seasonal, more fresh, has less environmental impact, promotes food safety, and supports your local economy. Where possible, The Pump Station restaurant purchases food and ingredients from local producers in the area. Can beer ingredients be purchased locally? Ask the group who went cherry picking to get 200 pounds of cherries for a winter ale.
