Märzen

This German style Märzen is typically brewed in March (März) and lagered for a few months. Most widely known as a staple fall brew (Oktoberfest) this nicely balanced lager has enough malt character and good noble hop balance resulting in a fresh brew well suited for all seasons. 5.6 ABV

Notes:

The nose is slightly malty sweet with a very subtle floral hop aroma.

This beer pours a light copper color. The tight white head dissipates quickly but leaves beautiful lacing down the glass.

A soft mouthfeel with a relatively light body make this otherwise malt-forward brew very sessionable. The early hop additions for bittering the beer offer the right amount of balance resulting in a clean finish with very little aftertaste.

The malty nose gives way to the malty flavor of this brew, but with only a slightly malt-sweet flavor. Just enough hops are added at the beginning of the boil giving a subtle bitter balance without disrupting the showcase malt characteristics.
