10,000 Scovilles

10,000 Scovilles is our habanero pale ale. A prototypical American style pale ale dry-hopped with fruity American hops and conditioned with locally grown habanero peppers. A bright hoppy and pepper nose gives way to a fresh flavored beer. The habanero adds more than aroma though. A pleasant pepper heat sneaks up quickly and leaves a mild pepper burn. 5.0 ABV

Notes:

The nose is heavy with American hops that smell like citrus and pine trees, with subtle notes of green bell pepper and spice. The late additions of El Dorado add heavy grapefruit and tropical fruit notes on the nose while the use of habaneros lends the pepper and spice notes.

Pouring a rich gold with a tight white head the Pale Ale leaves a slight lacing down the side of the glass.

Our light-bodied pale ale has a bright mouthfeel and is light on the palate in spite of the full hop flavors.

This pale ale is bursting with hop flavor with a subtle malt balance. The hoppiness is decidedly less bitter than many other pale ales and decidedly more spicy. Initial hop flavor gives way quickly to a moderate pepper spice that lingers once your pint is gone.
