Mission
The mission of the “Meet the Brewer” collaboration series is to give New Yorkers an opportunity that may not normally be made available to experience New York Craft Beer in the Capital Region and as a result increase the profile, awareness and sales of New York State produced beer in accordance with the Taste NY Initiatives.
Background on Visiting Brewery Series
In an effort to bring together a “Statewide” collaboration effort to the State Capitol of Albany, we have scheduled a monthly interaction hosted by C.H. Evans Brewing Co. at the Albany Pump Station to provide a dedicated New York State Brewery a proper platform to exhibit, taste and sell their product and yet provide an opportunity for normal craft beer lovers to enjoy New York produced beer in an intimate and educational setting that may not have been feasible for them in the past.
Each monthly series is expected to run for approximately three hours in the private mezzanine level at the C.H. Evans Brewing Co. at the Albany Pump Station to provide the opportunity for a brief introduction by the individual brewer or owner, tasting and sales of the products and a Q&A portion. The event is open to the public for a ticket charge of $20 per person. Depending on the availability of funds awarded to us for the program, the ultimate goal is to provide a free event for all New York Craft Beer lovers to help bring a greater awareness to New York’s thriving craft beer industry.
The State’s continued support of craft beverages is needed so “we”, as an industry can continue to grow and build on our recent successes in the past few years. This is an opportunity for the State to show its support for the “little” guys through a unique opportunity through a collaboration of 13 independent New York State Breweries.
